Northland, A Church Distributed | Longwood, FL

 N O R T H L A N D
 A CHURCH DISTRIBUTED
142,000 SF new facility with a state-of-the-art theatrical sanctuary,  3,300 seat capacity,  wrap-around foyer, prayer rooms, 50 classrooms, bookstore, Nature's Table Cafe', high-end large-scale art work throughout and a large hardscape gathering place/plaza. It is a structural steel building with Dryvit EIFS exterior wall cladding system and a combination of punched openings and storefronts. Automatic entry doors are included at the main entrance to the foyer. The theatrical sanctuary houses all of the components of a typical theatre including a stage, proscenium arch, apron and acoustical ceiling panels throughout. In the theatre, there are multiple elevated service platforms (catwalks) directly above the audience, at the exposed ceiling as part of the design. At the rear of the building, backstage, there are dressing rooms, restrooms, warehouse space three stories tall, overhead doors and technical production rooms including one on the fourth level. Rather than pews or chairs, as seen in most worship centers, this facility uses typical theatre seating. The theatrical sanctuary hosts concerts and other productions. State-of-the-art technology and equipment allow for live webstream worship via the internet and concurrent worship services across the globe including locations such as Egypt. Over $11 million was put into the sanctuary alone for theatrical/technical systems and equipment including fiber-optic and IP broadcast solutions for audio, visual and special affects. $20 million design-build construction contract ($43 million overall project cost included work that was owner direct purchased and contractor coordinated/managed).
